A few important points in the matter of fitment of pay are as hereunder. However, for any more details may refer to individual bank's circular/guidelines :-

  1. Promotee officr who are drawing Fixed Personal Pay (FPP)in terms of 9th Bipartite Settlement dated 27.04.2011 may continue to draw same FPP after promotion till further revised.
  2. Drawing JAIIB or CAIIB at the time of promotion, fitment of pay will be arrived at after reducing the increments earned for JAIIB/CAIIB. If However, the officer is at maximum of the scale, in such case
    • If the stagnation at the maximum of the scale is less than one year, and not drawing any PQP, then the number of increments for JAIIB/CAIIB be included in his basic pay shall be reduced in the existing scale.
    • If the stagnation at the maximum of the scale is for a year or more but for less than two years and drawing PQP Rs. 410/- p.m., then the number one increments be reduced in the existing scale for if he had passed both JAIIB/CAIIB. However, if Rs. 410/- p.m. drawing for JAIIB only then no increment be reduced from existing scale.
    • If the stagnation at the maximum of the scale is for two years or and drawing PQP Rs. 1030/- p.m. for passing both JAIIB/CAIIB, then no increments be reduced in the existing scale.
  3. After the step above step 2 one notional increment be added in the old scale from which the officer is being promoted and his pay shall be fixed appropriate stage in scale he promoted and one or two increments shall be added to the basic pay so fixed for passing JAIIB / CAIIB as the case may be. If no increment or one increment is available in the scale promoted the promotee officer be allowed PQP.
