In one day a human being breathes oxygen equivalent to 3 cylinders. Each oxygen cylinder on an average costs Rs 700, so in a day one uses Oxygen worth Rs 2100 and for a full year it is Rs 7,66,500. If we consider an average life span of 65 years; the costs of oxygen we use become a staggering sum of around Rs 5 Cr.. All this oxygen is derived free of cost from the surrounding trees. Very few people look at trees as a resource and there is rampart tree cutting going on everywhere which should stop.
Expression: In our daily interactions if we find that we are not able to get along with someone, our usual reaction is to avoid that person alltogether in order to avoid the conflict. But that is not really a solution. Unless we recognise why we are not able to get along with that person we will face the same problem with someone else.
Experience: When we are not able to get along with someone we need to recognise the fact that the problem is not with the person but with our own expectations. When our expectations are not being met we have a conflict which is reflected in our relationship with that person. So we need to work at recognizing and removing these expectations.
Expression: To love simple things is humility. It teaches to respect all that life brings. That means there is an ability to appreciate and value everything appropriately. So one is able to use everything that comes one way to the fullest extent for the benefit of the self and that of others.
Experience: When I am humble I am able to remain focused on my inner peace and not lose my sense of personal well-being. I am able to simply learn from everything that happens to my life and add on to this sense of well-being. No situation is difficult or impossible to work on, but I am able to overcome all challenges with ease
