Salary Structure on Recruitment of Employees in Public Sector Banks (with updated dearness allowance which revises every quarterly)

Public Sector banks in India are facing a huge shortage of employees due to two main reasons:

Apart from the above mentioned reasons, the banks have been ordered by Ministry of Finance, Government of India to open branches in the under banked areas.

Role of IBPS in Recruitment of Employees for Public Sector Banks

IBPS had introduced the concept of Common Written Exams (CWE) for Selection of Clerks, Probationary Officers and Specialist Officers. The Successful candidates in the CWE are issued scorecards based on their performance in the IBPS exam. The scorecard is mandatory to apply for Jobs in Public Sector banks.

Salary Structure on recruitment as

Probationary Officer

Pay scale : 23700 - 980/7 - 30560 - 1145/2 - 32850 - 1310/7 42020

A newly (fresh) recruited Probationary Officer's initial basic pay is Rs. 14500/ and your first salary will be

(23700/-(basic pay) + prevailing Dearness allowance (revises quarterly) + House Rent Allowance (applicable as per area of place of posting) + City Compensatory Allowance (applicable as per area of place of posting). Please see the table hereunder for Gross Salary on Appointment

A person joins as Probationary Officers is eligible for availing facility of Rent Free Accommodation/Residence Facility or to draw HRA. The entitlement of monthly rent payable is different from Bank to Bank and area to area of place of posting. A recovery of 0.75% of the first stage of the scale of pay is recovered from the salary of Probationary officer who avails Rent Free Accommodation/Residence Facility. Clerk

Scales of pay :- 11765 - 655/3 -815/3 -980/3 -1145/7 -2120 -1310/1- 31540 - 1310 x 8 = 42,020

A newly (fresh) recruited clerk: If you are not graduate your initial basic pay is Rs. 11765/- and your first gross salary will be( 11765 (basic pay) + prevailing Dearness allowance (revises quarterly) + House Rent Allowance (applicable as per area of place of posting)

If you are joining the Bank as clerk and you are graduate two advance increment of Rs. 655/- each are given to you. Your initial basic pay will be Rs. 13075/- and will draw your first gross salary will be(13075- (basic pay) + prevailing Dearness allowance (revises quarterly) + House Rent Allowance (applicable as per area of place of posting). The case referred hereunder is of an officer drawing HRA and not availing rent free accommodation facility. The details of Rate of HRA payable at different places is tabled hereunder
